Worldwide expansion of cryo-portfolio

Cryo

We, as Royal Utermöhlen, are proud to share that the products of our cryo-portfolio are being exported to more and more countries worldwide in the recent years. The most important reasons for this rapid expansion are positive market developments that are leading to a growing interest in many countries, making our products currently present at all continents. But what exactly is cryotherapy and what products does our cryo-portfolio consist of? Keep on reading to find out!

Cryotherapy, also known as cryosurgery, is a medical treatment method that involves exposing a specific part of a body to extremely cold temperatures for a very short period of time. This freezing technique is often used to provide various health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, relieving pain, or to treat different types of skin ailments. For the latter, we have developed our patented products, all of which are part of our contemporary cryo-portfolio.

This portfolio consist of the following products:

  • Wart Freezer: To treat hand, foot and water warts in an effective and easy manner.
  • Skin Tags: To treat skin tags on the neck, under armpits and under breasts effectively.
  • Tick Away: To remove ticks from the skin in one go, by instantly killing the tick by freezing it.
  • Cryo Professional: To treat various benign skin lesions on patients (for medical professional use only).

All these products are based on the earlier mentioned cryotherapy method, and the main part of these products consist of an applicator cap and an aerosol. With the use of this applicator cap in combination with the aerosol that contains dimethyl ether gas, a very cold gas can be applied directly to the skin ailment. This leads to a frozen tissue of the skin ailment, that can be for example a wart or a skin tag, causing the cells within the skin ailment to die. During this treatment, no cold energy is being lost due to the specially designed cap. After the treatment, a small blister may form around the skin ailment. This is a normal part of the healing process and helps to lift for example the wart or skin tag from the healthy skin. Eventually, the dead skin tissue and blister will shed off naturally, leading to its removal within 10 to 14 days. This application can easily be done by consumers themselves at home (except for the Cryo Professional product)!
